2. The Process:
On the Road with Tim Young

.
Last week we did our hands-on technique seminar in Orange County: The Fading Art of Osseous Adjusting. It was the best so far – you can see the comments.

Dr Young and I are always looking for ways to deconstruct, to improve the conveyance of information on how to establish a Process. For any skill, there must be a Process – a daily regimen of fine motor movements, which must be practiced and practiced and practiced. Then after years, “suddenly” mastery sets in. That’s the plan.

The hope of our profession lies in the hands of those who discover these unalterable facts of nature.

Something I’ve observed after being around hundreds of practicing chiropractors is this: there’s a wide chasm between being in practice for 20 years and being in practice for one year, 20 times in a row.

Know anybody like that?

One of the lessons we are learning doing this seminar is that we can’t just have the attendees start grabbing each other – doctor and patient – and begin cracking things right off the bat. That just doesn’t work. No, we instructors have discovered that we must set a balance between explaining why we are adjusting, what we are feeling for, what we are trying to accomplish — all this, and then – OK pair off and let’s do it.

This core information is simply lacking today, whether the attendee has been in practice or not. Most of them don’t walk in the door knowing anything about it.

The simplest things – facet planes, plane line of discs, joint play, articulation, end feel, muscle guarding, intrinsic muscles, scoliosis, wedging, posture, high side, visualization, intention – almost nobody talks about them. Except maybe in an academic, nontactile way. And rarely. But these are the fundamentals of The Process – the tools of the Art.

The doctor must start out by making a checklist and going through it for every single adjustment. After a few hundred times, the checklist is memorized and the basic Process is set. Only then does the artist start to learn Clinical Technique, over and over, day by day, in an actual pattern. Thus begin the years of practice.

But for most DCs – the ones who do that first year of practice X times in a row – no Process is ever set. No one ever told them they had to have one. It wasn’t part of pretend-Technique/Posing class. So they start off reinventing the Wheel – perhaps a little rub-a-dub, or shake and bake, pop and pray, or clicky-clicky, etc. Then maybe they’ll take an insurance seminar…

And off into life they go, leaving the golden treasure lying there in the dust at the starting line – the Prize beyond measure, which would have brought them all the riches they ever would want. The Process to the Fading Art of chiropractic.

I always talk about observing the adjustors in the concourse at CalJam or Focus or other events, who are adjusting people in front of a thousand screaming people at break time, etc – maybe you’ve heard me. And the most common problems anybody can see include:

– no focus
– chatting about silly stuff while adjusting
– 10 minutes of nervous, scattered touchy touchy foreplay
– no idea of searching for the primary
– adjusting practically every bone in the spine
– telegraphing
– talking
– no Process
– no intent

These are just a few of the topics Dr Young and I cover in the seminar, and specifically correct. We have to. The survival of our profession is in play here. No matter what you hear in between the cheerleading, we are seeing maybe one percent of the population. If we’re lucky. Not 10%, not 8%. Less than one. And dropping.

We are at war, my friends, and we are not winning. It’s not just the survival of our profession at issue here – it’s the survival of Unbounded Human Potential. Life without subluxation – free and full expression of the force that animates the living universe.

Don’t believe that? Oh, you don’t ‘believe in’ subluxation? Because your teachers told you there was no scientific evidence, right? And you believed them? Well, someone’s not looking. Cast your gaze just for a moment in the direction of Sacramento. Or Washington DC. No subluxation? These places are populated by subluxation. They are run on subluxation, fueled by it. They’re infected and infused with it – soaked to the bone. Subluxation that is choking off the life force of common sense, common decency, sensible economics, common morality, and the possibility of glowing health.

Chiropractic is the hope. Such as we are, god help us, we are the hope for the survival of the holistic model – the body’s right to heal and recalibrate itself, nervous system unobstructed, free from laboratory experimentation and neolithic, obamanized treatment protocols invented by MBAs.

This is our vision, our playing field, at these seminars: The Fading Art of Osseous Chiropractic Adjusting.

Next in our sights: Dallas. Coming soon.

3. Two New Videos

.
Just came out of the studio with 2 new half-hour clips

Hydrolyzed Collagen

The 60 Day Program

They’re on youtube and on thedoctorwithin.com

Can’t keep it a secret any more. The principles of peptide physiology laid down in the Collagen chapter are described clinically in patient after patient.

All those years of frustration with adjustments not being able to resolve progressive arthritis cases, etc. Then I found the perfect adjunct: Hydrolyzed Collagen.

Soon it became a no-brainer for arthritis patients, even saving many from replacement surgery. But then the discovery of collagen’s role in so many other degenerative conditions – which mostly meant collagen-deficient conditions:

* respiratory problems

* heart

* circulatory

* endocrine

* visceral

* osseous

* skin quality

* etc

On and on. No mystery why it had such a broad application, when you consider the ground substance for all these structures, and the rate of decline in production as we age…

Anyway, all these we discuss in the online Chapter. But now this short new video summarizes the main ideas in a nonliterary format. Since nobody really reads any more.

And then there’s the video on The 60 Day Program. This is an upgrade of the 5 minute clip that’s been on the chapter since forever. You don’t even have to think – you can just sit there and be shown what the 60 Day Program is, why anyone would consider it, and how to start it. Also there are tons of stories from real patients.

Beyond the corrective phase of adjustments, now the rest of it – the metabolic part — a profound and complete lifestyle shift whose effect is to get over that cosmic speedbump, the obstacle that has been limiting the advance of glowing health for the last 20 years, or whatever. Leave no stone unturned, no possible cellular excuse for toxicity, for vascular, endocrine, or visceral malfunction …

For those who want to take as much responsibility as physically possible for their own return to health. Again, read the stories.

Finally getting into Final Cut Pro.

Trippy.

4. Just Saw the Devil at the Dentist

.
A lot of people argue one way or another about believing in God, and some of them make pretty good cases, going both ways. But I think there are less of us who don’t believe in the Devil. By which I mean a personification of the darkest malevolent forces in the universe, etc. Much less of a controversy there. Because evidence of the Devil – in the spirit and in the flesh – is out there, all day every single day. Online, on the freeway, in the news, in your daily life – it’s ubiquitous. You have to go out of your way not to see it. Which is actually the purpose of media, by the way.

So anyway, I’m at the dentist, having just finished up. And the next patient is in the hallway, coming in. And the dentist sees her and begins chatting typical office patient banter. And it comes up that she drives a Tesla, which I’m somewhat familiar with – (see Feb newsletter). So I chime into the mindless yammering, talking about kilowatts and force recovery and battery life, etc.

And suddenly the dentist says to me, by way of introduction: ‘She’s in the pharmaceutical business.’ And she corrects him by saying “Biotech.” And as she said that one word, I caught a fleeting glimpse of a cloven hoof as it peeked through the way her one high heel was angled in my line of vision.

And all the circuits tripped in my brain’s neuroplasticity and went from playing the Tesla program straight to an integration of the Dante’s Inferno file and the Jeffrey Smith GMO file. And it played the entire clips immediately, simultaneously as the dentist is chattering some inane googlized wiki-pablum about GMO, trying to give the impression he knows what the whole discussion is about, and thereby proving the opposite.

But with those files reviewed, now I’m ready for the next salvo, by the time she began to spew forth her next sentence. I’m realizing it is the Devil himself standing in front of me speaking, as she chortles:

“GMO is something people worry about too much. My PhD friend was assigned to look for carcinogens in nature and as we walked by a tree he said to me, you know if people only knew there are more carcinogens in one branch of that tree than on all the GM food in the supermarket, they’d wouldn’t be so upset…Genetic modification is something that is going on in nature all the time. Biotech is just doing the same thing with foods….Blah, blah, snort, chortle…”

A wisp of smoke from the nostrils? Perhaps not.

And on and on she went, doing a retard version of the “substantial equivalence” doctrine, first invented by Monsanto back in the early days of GMO. Jeffrey Smith gives a masterful explanation how Monsanto successfully kept the government from regulating the new industry which for the first time in history had begun randomly splicing genes from any plant or any animal into the DNA of any other plant or animal, for global commercial applications.

So the Monsanto lawyers (Michael Taylor) hit on the myth of Substantial Equivalence. It holds that the new GM industry does not need to be regulated by any legitimate, independent scientific oversight because these new frankenstein plants and animals they are now inventing are “Substantially Equivalent” to the natural originals, and therefore ‘we’re not doing anything harmful.”

It’s about sexual reproduction. Species of apples, for example do change and adapt to alterations in environment by the subtle and gradual choices of natural selection over long periods of time. Involving thousands of generations of sexual reproduction, dominants and recessives. That’s the way nature modifies DNA. Millenia.

But GMO is revolutionary – a lab experiment on a scale unprecedented in history. The difference is: the changes are immediate. DNA no longer takes millenia to modify – now it’s a few weeks. Or overnight we can have entirely new species that nature could never have invented in her wildest flights of fancy.

GMO is the antithesis of nature – its polar opposite. That’s the whole point.

Now if this seems too complicated, or if it seems like news, well that’s really tragic and shows how successful the Devil really has been with GM propaganda … and also how badly you need to read the chapter GM Foods: A Short Introduction, which is your only excuse for not reading both Jeffrey Smith’s entire books. It’s the very minimum of what any marginally educated professional must know about this subject today, believe me.

The thing you have to remember about the Devil today is he doesn’t look like the classical or Hollywood stereotypes. From my vaccine book:

“What do the purveyors of sickness and death look like? Monsters and devils, horror and darkness? Hardly. These people are often gracious, well spoken, with social aplomb. They have perfected the packaging of sickness, degeneration and death by wrapping it in hope, health, youth, and vitality. This well-crafted illusion is designed to steal our money, steal our time, burn away our precious life, and give us unnatural values.”

No cloven hooves, no speartip tail, no horns, no scales, no bristles – nothing overt from Dante. But neither do these new devils have to be gracious or well spoken any more, as I just saw. This particular one at the dentist’s office, in addition to being egregiously undereducated and condescending, while dripping in ostentatious wealth, was overdressed, over made up, over-bejeweled, and overfed.

Remember that old movie with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves where Al was the devil, but he was very cosmopolitan and impeccably groomed, ensconced in wealth and power? Well, that was the old days. Gone. Our society has devolved substantially in the last 15 years, on every level. No more need for impeccability or taste or sophistication any longer in order to give the impression of authority. No need for subtlety, erudition, or refinement, in speech or behavior. Today’s general Whiskey-Tango mentality doesn’t recognize such prerequisites for wealth and power.

These new power people don’t listen to Vivaldi or Chopin any more – their Ipods are loaded with Garth Brooks and Katy Perry. They prefer NASCAR re-runs, and professional wrestling.

But they have money. Buckets of it. And they may drive a Tesla. And they go to the best dentists. And they have a rap – a very shaky one, but it’s slick. And it’s well rehearsed, and it never ends. And if you don’t know anything, it’s gonna make sense.

In a devilish sort of way.

5. Feature:
BEST OF ALL POSSIBLE WORLDS / WORST OF ALL POSSIBLE WORLDS

.
The premise here for this monthly feature, remember, is that at the present time we are living simultaneously in both the best of all possible worlds and the worst of all possible worlds.

I think Section 4 above about covers it for this month’s Worst of All Possible worlds. It’s just the tip of the iceberg, so please read the chapter if you have any doubts about how worst worst can be.

Now for some of the Best of All Possible Worlds. Billy D kindly invited me up to Mammoth for a few days with MJ and some other great people. All these years in California, and I’d never been there before. The whole area is magnificent.

The reason Bay Area people don’t go there much in the winter is you have a choice between an 8 hour drive or a 12 hour drive, as long as the pass through Yosemite is closed. But I found there’s a direct flight every day from SFO to Mammoth’s freaky little airport – takes 40 minutes. You get to fly over the dregs of Hetch Hetchy and the majestic high Sierras and other immutable natural geology that looked pretty much the same when the dinosaurs were sniffing around for water.

Even though this has been the worst snow season on record, the Mammoth slopes were still in great condition for 2 out of the 3 days. And nobody was there – you skiied right onto the lift. Or boarded.

Everybody compares Mammoth with Heavenley. Of course Mammoth people always say Mammoth is bigger and better than Heavenley, and Heavenley people say the same thing about their mountain, etc. The truth is, they’re really very similar, all things considered, except for the casinos. Both have almost the same vertical drop. They are two of the most breathtaking and well kept ski venues on earth. Colorado, Utah, and France are hard pressed to match them. Which is why people from all over the world come to both every year. Even bad years, like this one.

And it wasn’t that bad, really. Grooming and snowmaking is everything, and Mammoth’s crews are all over it. That 70 mph wind at the top of Cornice can get your attention. But it helps to keep the powder dry and packed, like God’s blowdryer. If you’re there mainly for the slopes, Mammoth is right up there with Heavenley. If you’re there for the partying and nightlife, no contest. Mammoth doesn’t even try for that medal.

Have to say though that view of the lake from the top of the Dipper chair is something Mammoth can’t claim – Mark Twain said it was the most beautiful view on earth.

Anyway, make the effort. Unplug – go offline and try to make it to one of them this year. They’re both having great late seasons now with this new blast of snow. These days are life events. No ancient ever looks back on his life and says Gee, I wish I’da spent more time at home online. More apt to think about those days of glory at the top of the friggin world.

6. Excerpt from Vaccination Is Not Immunization 2013

– now in 6 languages

The most reliable vaccine resource for parents about to make the most important decision of the child’s life.

“The most provocative, well-researched, blood-boiling text EVER written on vaccines.. Dr Tim’s style mixing pure science and his relentless wit make this one of my FAVORITE reads of all time. . read this book and you will want to start a revolution.” – Dr Bill DeMoss, Newport Beach

“This history of the vaccination industry is vastly more thorough than that taught in medical schools and decisively more balanced.” – David Ayoub, MD

“The only book more important than this one is the Bible.” – Dr Tim Young

“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie — deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

.
Mumps – radio show—

Got a call from a cowtown radio station in Ohio this week to be a “guest.” The topic was the recent “outbreak” of local measles cases, which the obedient media was attributing to the unvaccinated. I was to be the third of 3 guests, the other 2 being pediatricians at local hospitals. And it was a call-in show and would only last an hour.

Having done dozens of radio shows, many of them syndicated, I asked the standard qualifying questions: have you ever read my book? No. Have you ever read any of the chapters or articles on my site? No. Have you ever attended any of my full day seminars? No. Any of my vaccine lectures? No. Was the interviewer planning on looking at any of this information before the show? Definitely not.

Having learned by experience a hatchet job in the making, I saw the ambush.

First of all, I have learned never to do interviews with people who have not read my book. It only takes a few hours and is a summary of the very least amount of information any radio host or interviewer needs to know about one of the most vital topics in children’s health. It’s not so bad that these people know nothing – it’s their wholesale laziness and indifference against making the slightest effort to inform themselves about topics they’re holding forth opinions about.

The other thing I never do is take calls from the general public on a live show. This is a guaranteed buzzkill and waste of valuable time. I don’t need anyone else to “make it pop” or ‘keep it moving.’ For radio this usually means to keep the superficial banter flowing without any serious look at anything beyond the shallow conventional pop wisdom. The impossibility of education.

Realizing I was to be the designated Dancing Bear on this show, someone to make extravagant remarks without a chance to explain them, I declined. Don’t even need to listen to know what would be said on a show of this calibre. I’ve heard it a thousand times.

In a real interview, these are the subjects I would cover to explain the recent media vaccine promo for MMR. First the questions that must be answered, and the sources from the vaccine textbook:

– What is mumps?

– Do we really need a vaccine?

– Has it been effective?

– Are the new cases of mumps really because of a lack of vaccines or are they atypical versions of the disease brought on by the vaccine itself?

These are the real issues.

.
From Vaccination Is Not Immunization:

MUMPS

Another benign, self limiting disease of childhood involving swollen salivary glands, fever and headache. Almost always gone in a week with no complications. Natural immunity for life. Very simply, “mumps does not require treatment.”

(Mendelsohn, p 234 [224]

The big sell for mumps was that supposedly if mumps came on in adulthood – which it almost never did – it was a more serious disease which could cause temporary swelling of the testicles. Not sterility now. Just temporary swelling of the testicles, in extremely rare cases.

So the first question is, why vaccinate girls?

The second question is – why vaccinate anyone for mumps when the mild childhood disease confers lifetime immunity? Oh, they might not get it as children? Oh, so we’re just making sure, right? So they don’t get the more serious version when they grow up, is that it?

But there’s absolutely no evidence that the vaccine prevents the adult version. It was never even studied, much less proven.

Mendelsohn says that at the very most, mumps vaccine should only be given to boys at puberty who never got natural immunity by getting the disease as a child.

Logic is rarely driving the bus it seems when it comes to Vaccination Policy. So line up, boys and girls.

HERD IMMUNITY

As we were led down the path of MMR vaccination, 2000 centuries of herd immunity – natural immunity – were cavalierly tossed out the window. Before the vaccine, whoever got one of these mild diseases thereby got lifetime immunity. No longer. Instead, after a couple of decades of vaccination, we now see atypical versions of the original diseases: brand new adult disease forms. Manmade.

Herd immunity is far older than vaccines. Do not make the error of many pediatricians or ‘journalists’ who talk about herd immunity as though it refers to the immunity that proceeds from a large group of people being vaccinated. The calculated deception behind this common malapropism is that if you don’t know what herd immunity is, you’ll buy their illusion: that the unvaccinated child cannot take advantage of the herd who have been vaccinated. This is well thought-out propaganda.

True herd immunity is a term which indicates that a disease has burned itself out within a population, as with plague, smallpox, typhus – every infectious disease in history. The herd has become immune. Natural selection. It has to do with nature, not with vaccines. Don’t be fooled again.

Adults who get measles, mumps, or rubella for the first time have a much greater chance of death or serious complications. (Merck) [239] MMR vaccine may actually work to delay the onset past childhood; as a result, the adult versions are mutated forms of the original diseases. Which means that someone who got the disease as a child and who was thereby immune for life, may not now be immune to the new atypical forms created by mass vaccines.”
